Perimenopause & Menopause
Symptom Checklist
Not feeling quite like yourself? Start by keeping track of what's changed.
Perimenopause and menopause can affect much more than your periods. Changes to sleep, mood, concentration, body temperature, sexual health and bladder health can all happen in this season of life.
Use the checklist below to record the symptoms you're experiencing and how much they are affecting you. You can take it to your GP to help guide the conversation about what has changed and determine if a gynaecologist referral would be beneficial.
This checklist is not a diagnostic tool. Symptoms around midlife can have other causes, so individual medical assessment is important.

Talk About What You're Experiencing
You don't need to wait until your periods stop to talk about menopause. Perimenopause can begin years before your last menstrual period. Speak with your doctor if symptoms are interfering with your work, sleep, exercise, relationships or general quality of life.
You should also speak with your doctor if you are younger than 45 and your periods have become irregular or stopped, or if you experience vaginal bleeding after having no period for 12 months.
